Luck was on our side when Mommy Trini asked us to cater Wil’s dessert buffet for his christening, especially when they said that the theme was Wheel of Fortune!

To recreate the timeless game show into a beautiful tablescape, we used the colors tiffany blue and red (as per Mommy Trini’s request) for the tablecloth, backdrop, balloons, and buntings, and then incorporated the wheel using a ferris wheel cupcake holder, the multicolored cupcake tower, and the cupcake topper designs. Mommy Trini also gave us a cute personalized wheel design to use for the print-outs! We used a red gumball machine and plenty of golden chocolate coins and play money for that extra winning effect.

For their desserts, Mommy Trini chose chocolate truffle, strawberry cheesecake, and vanilla meringue cupcakes, s’mores cookies, Baker Street brownies, red velvet petit fours, and strawberry shortcake petit fours. What a sweet and colorful spread!

They also ordered matching Wheel of Fortune centerpieces for their guest’s tables, which we made using paper medallions, balloons, and tin pails! They added even more color to the whole room!

Thank you to Mommy Trini for having us and welcome to the Christian world, Wil!

We love working on unique themes for our dessert buffets, so when mommy Freya asked us to create a navy and green pinwheel dessert buffet and candy buffet last August, we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Mommy Freya was hands-on in conceptualizing the tablescape with us. With the help of her lovely pegs, we created a quaint country setup festooned with pinwheels big and small, from the pinwheel-shaped cupcake toppers down to the pinwheel buntings! To exemplify New England style countryside chic, we used white picket fence and brown paper and wood accents, glass jars, gingham and dot patterns, spring green button flowers, white birdcages, vintage steel buckets, and fresh green apples, all on an off-white tablecloth with navy blue runner.

The dessert buffet items Mommy Freya chose were perfectly complementary—s’mores cookies, strawberry shortcake petit fours, chocolate eclairs, and Baker Street brownies, as well as assorted cupcakes. For their sweets, they chose gummy sharks, chocolate covered hazelnuts, lollipops, fruit chews, white chocolate pretzels, marshmallows, strawberry bursts, and sour candy shapes for the lucky guests.

Thank you so much to mommy Freya for having us and Happy birthday to both grandma and your little one! ☺

Katy Perry’s California Gurls music video? We couldn’t think of a better inspiration for Harper Reese’s colorful and sunny Candyland-themed party!

To turn mommy Andrea’s California dream into reality, we filled Harper’s dessert and candy buffet table with lots of sweets, cotton candy clouds, Technicolor swirls, and candy shop-inspired labels, enough to warrant an early trip to the dentist! We used a hot pink tablecloth and a blue sky backdrop, a lilac riser overflowing with cotton candy clouds and swirly lollipops, giant ice cream cones and gummy bears, candy shop glass jars and tins, and marshmallow topiaries to complete the look.

For Harper’s desserts, we had s’mores cookies, strawberry shortcake petit fours, and mini chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with lots of sprinkles! Her candies were aplenty as well—marshmallows, gumballs, lollipops, and custom-wrapped kitkat chocolates were served!

Thank you so much to mommy Andrea for having us and Happy 1st birthday, Harper! ☺

Baker Street’s marshmallow topiaries are featured in this month’s issue of Smart Parenting Magazine! You can see us on the first page and on page 32-33, under the article, “Party by the Numbers” by Shiloah Matic-Ma!

Thanks Shiloah and Smart Parenting!

Constructing a dessert buffet for Liam’s 2nd birthday had been so much fun! ☺ When Mommy Karla gave us Tonka Chuck & Friends as a theme, we knew that we would get to build a really colorful and playful tablescape!

For Liam’s dessert buffet, we used a fire engine red tablecloth, a blue backdrop, and lots of construction-related details such as block risers, traffic cones, detour tapes, truck toys, shovels, hard hats, and road signs galore! Even Liam’s poster was attached to a foreman’s clipboard! We also had a silver and black cupcake tower made to house Liam’s 100 Tonka-themed cupcakes.

For the desserts, mommy Karla chose assorted cupcakes, boomer’s brownies, chocolate eclairs, vanilla cream puffs, roadmeal (oatmeal) cookies, and Chuck’s choco chip cookies.

Thank you so much to mommy Karla for having us and happy birthday, Liam! ☺

Right on the heels of Prince George’s entry into the royal family is the birthday of another equally charming princess, Annica Lynette! We were thrilled to have worked with Mommy Camille on her baby’s baby pink royalty themed dessert and candy buffet!

To achieve a soft and elegant look for the buffet, we used off white silk, pink tulle, and skirted baby pink charmeuse for the tablecloth. Then, we placed regal gold accents contrasted with delicate white china and glass, lots of satin ribbon detail, lilac damask prints, and beautiful rose pink, lilac, and diamond gemstones.

Mommy Camille chose delectable desserts for the buffet that truly befit royalty; pink velvet cupcakes, pink vanilla cream puffs, luscious strawberry shortcake petit fours, decadent brownies, and red velvet cake pops. For the candies, the guests had soft majestic marshmallows, strawberry pretzels, chocolate easter balls, and chocolate covered m&ms. Indeed, a sumptuous royal spread fit for a queen!

Thank you so much to mommy Camille for having us and happy birthday, Princess Annica!

We are so ecstatic to have been part of Toni’s 1st birthday at Chili’s Tomas Morato! To celebrate the momentous occasion, Mommy Karen asked us to create a fun “Flights of Fancy” hot air balloon themed cupcakes and candy buffet.

To recreate mommy Karen’s vision of hot air balloon heaven, we used a light aqua tablecloth, a cute ribbon strip backdrop, and plenty of hot air balloon lanterns and balloons all over! For that vintage shabby chic feel, we added white metal cupcake holders, wooden trays, and wooden picket fence vases filled with fresh powder blue hydrangeas. Then, we stored the sweet candy inside vintage candy jars and provided pink polka dot muffin cups and glassine bags for the guests! Coupled with custom printouts and darling printed ribbons, this party buffet looked ready to fly out into the sky!

For Toni’s buffet, mommy Karen chose s’mores cookies, delicious chocolate truffle, vanilla meringue, and ruby velvet cupcakes and mini cupcakes. For candies, they chose strawberry pink bursts, pink foil wrapped chocolate easter balls, and multicolored candy chocolates.
Thank you so much to mommy Karen and family for having us and happy birthday to Toni! :)
